In the decade of the ‘80s, the maestro Lorin Maazel found himself faced with the challenge of converting Wagner’s operatic tetralogy “The Ring of the Nibelung” of 15 hours duration into a symphonic work of just over an hour. And so “The Ring without words” was born, and this adaptation of Wagner’s work will be performed at the ‘36ª FIMC’ by the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra.
