The singer Elida Almeida returns with her fourth disc, Gerasonobu, in which he confirms her position as the leader of a new generation of musicians in Cape Verde. 27 years of Afro soul, is evident as a contributing factor to the artist breaking the codes of Cape Verdean music: a tradition that the tutelary figure of Cesaria Evora lights up, zealously monitored by the orthodox elements. Together with the multi-instrumentalist & Cape Verdean producer Hernani Almeida and DJ & producer Blinky Bill, hero of the new wave from Kenya, Elida Almeida just imbues fusion, speaks of the reality of women, of the most intimate feelings, from deep within.
