Teófilo Chantré is one of the great African composers & singer-songwriters around, whose success came about because of the rise in popularity of the singer from Cape Verde Cesária Evora, for whom he wrote many songs.

With traditional Cape Verdean rhythms, touches of jazz, bolero, Latin music & the bossa nova, Chantré elaborates his music and his personal way of singing, quite unique on the ‘morna’ & ‘coladera’ music scene, musical genres of Cape Verde and in which the Portuguese footprint is more than just an aroma.

Entrance to the concert is free but should be reserved via lpacultura.com or entrees.es. Limited audience capacity.
