‘Cinezín’ is a small format film festival, whose vocation is to facilitate the island viewer traditionally interested in musical films this opportunity to approach unique movie titles, in a direct way & with a valuable cinema forum as accompaniment.

‘Castillo de Mata’ hosts a programme that includes the projection of four film titles closely linked to rock, soul & electronic music. Sessions that will have the added value of the round-table discussions which accompany each of these evening/night events, with free entrance until attendance capacity is reached.

23 March: Projection of ‘Sisters with transistors’

'Sisters with transistors' (2020), a British film directed by Lisa Rovner that adopts the genre of a documentary to pay tribute to the women pioneers who through electronics, with the creation of devices, techniques & styles, redefined the concepts & limitations of music.

The round-table at this session will feature Servando Carballar & Marta Cervera as guests. Carballar is known for being the founder & leader of the electronic music group ‘Aviador Dro’, as well as successive bands, recorded discs and other projects related to music of the last quarter of the XXth century in Spain.

For her part, Cervera, discovered the experimental music of groups such as The Residents, Snakefinger & Tuxedomoon and formed ‘Los Iniciados’.
