On Friday 6, 13 & 20 May at 20:30 hours the ‘Miller’ Culture Hall will become a ‘tablao’ (Flamenco stage & dance floor) . The cycle “Al aire” will feature singing, playing music and dancing with three great Flamenco artists: Esperanza Fernández, Tomasito and José Mercé. Entrance to the concerts may be acquired via lpacultura.com  or entrees.es.

The third featured artist on “Al aire”, on 20 May, is in capital letters, José Mercé. With nineteen albums released since his debut in 1968, the Flamenco singer from Jerez has maintained the pure essence of ‘cante’ and has mixed it with flamenco versions of Manu Chao, Aute, Víctor Jara, Louis Armstrong, Pablo Milanés, the Pop Tops & Serrat to place himself as a key artist in Spanish music; breaking boundaries and elevating his music not only for a Flamenco audience, but also reaching a pop-loving audience.

The veteran singer from Jerez is an artist who has managed to convey like few others that flamenco is for everyone and at ‘Miller’ he will present “El Oripandó”, an autobiography sung in eight pieces produced & written by Antonio Orozco.
