In 1922 the original of “La Umbría” under the label of ‘Publicaciones Atenea’, within the collection of Spanish authors, was issued; a collection where Quesada would be accompanied by figures as important as Gabriel Miró, Ramón Menéndez Pidal & Ramón Gómez de la Serna. A hundred years later, from the ‘Ediciones del Cabildo’ (Island Council Editions) of Gran Canaria, we want to honour the memory of Alonso Quesada, with the facsimile edition of this moving theatrical piece, set in Agaete, in an event that attempts to unite the multiple prisms featuring those that have staged this play.
