‘MUESTRA DE TEATRO NO PROFESIONAL’ (NONPROFESSIONAL THEATRE SHOW)

The samples of theatrical productions of non-professional performing arts provide a platform for amateur artists and local talents to show their skills and creativity in the field of performing arts.

“Somos Africanos” is an amateur show based on four short pieces performed by students of the theatrical workshop at the foundation - Fundación Canaria El Buen Samaritano. The pieces are; ‘El Viaje’, ‘Kankourang’, ‘Esclavitud’ and ‘Vete pa tu país LNS’. They all talk about issues associated with migration such as the boat trip itself, African traditions, racist expressions, and the hoaxes spread about migrants. All the pieces are performed in Spanish by young Africans who come from Senegal, Mali, Gambia and the Ivory Coast.
