The popular attention the vampire has enjoyed over the course of the history of film making is inversely proportional to the lack of enthusiasm it has generated among the critics. Nevertheless, the same as the western or detective movies, the genre of horror in general and vampires in particular, have always had an unmistakeable authorial category.
´Filmoteca Canaria´ organises a cycle dedicated to the vampire and its reflection (who said that vampires have no refection?) in the cinema.

At the same time, she takes part in some brutal vampire-style massacres on unwitting friends & companions. Kathleen begins to alter her ideas regarding life and death. This cult film in black & white by Abel Ferrara is considered by many as an allegory of drug addiction.
