The ‘entierro de la sardina’(burial of the sardine) event puts an end to the Carnival festivities. The sardine dies and, every year, widows & mourners accompany the funeral procession that goes from León y Castillo street (in the vicinity of the Pueblo Canario – Santa Catalina Hotel) to theLas Canteras beach.
