The new project by Juan Valderrama titled «Mujeres de carne y verso». On 14 March, as a forerunner to the celebration of World Poetry Day, Musicando will engage in a show that asserts & pursues works written by women by means of a journey through 26 centuries, from classic Greece to our times. Safo de Lesbos, Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz, Rosalía de Castro, Gloria Fuertes, Gabriela Mistral & Elvira Sastre, among others, will be sung by Valderrama in the form of Fado, bolero, tango, morna, milonga and the flamencos garrotín & farruca.

With musical direction by Luis Pastor, Juan Valderrama will be accompanied by a group of musicians, most of them female: Cary Rosa Varona (cello & contrabass), Mercedes Luján (guitar), Jessica Estévez (trumpet & cajón), Isabel Noa (piano) and Madeline Espinosa (Latin percussion).
