La Otra takes the stage with critical & ironic lyrics, but also intimate and, above all very personal; and does so by filling the gap between the song by the singer-songwriter and the protest song with a dissident sensitivity which is increasingly heard. Far beyond the lyrics is an outstanding sweet voice accompanied by a sound that has been evolving from the most simple acoustic to a blend of influences which range from the great Latin-American classics to rap, and touching on many other Black music genres.
