“Historias rusas” is a show by the theatrical company ´Burka Teatro´ which puts on stage the dramatized versions of some of the Russian dramatist & author, Anton Chekhov´s stories. A theatrical farce in one act (“El Oso” – The Bear) and two stories (“En la oficina de correos” – In the Post Office & “Un carácter enigmático” – An enigmatic character); they are connected & complement each other in a semblance to the life & work of this writer, showing his importance in the social & political period in which he lived.
And so, in a light & amusing way, “Historias rusas” places the audience in the revolutionary transformation that occurred in Russia towards the end of the XIXth century. In spite of its years, Chekhov´s work is still fresh and capable of making us laugh.
