The Engineering Library is added to the Week of the International Day of the Library, by hosting the exhibition “Origami y Matemáticas”. With this they intend to bring together this ancestral art where figures are made by using only paper (without cutting or glueing) and their relation to mathematics and geometry in particular, with engineering; without forgetting its different applications in our everyday life.     

The Biblioteca Universitaria (University Library) appreciates and wants to thank the close collaboration they have had in this exhibition with Hitoshi Saito, the Asociación Cultural (Cultural Association) Dentou belonging to the Japanese School- Escuela Japonesa- at the university LPGC;  Yasuko Minakawa, teacher of the Japanese language; and Guillermo Socorro Marrero, researcher at the IUIBS.

This exhibition is the result of the collaboration between various libraries that pertain to the section of Technology at the University Library.
