´Filmoteca Canaria´ dedicates a cycle to Eloy de la Iglesia (1944 – 2006), the unconventional & provocative director, whose cinema productions, frenzied, combative, militant, were (and still are) the best testimony to the times in which we lived: Spain´s transition.

SYNOPSIS:

Juan, an employee at a petrol station, is going to get married to Charo, his fiancé, and maybe secure a rise at work. Diana, a rich client at the petrol station, who is married to an important man, wishes to have a child but knows that her husband is sterile. Diana decides to use Juan by getting him to believe she is in love with him. Juan believes her and following their relationship, Diana becomes pregnant. Problems then arise between the two men, who both want to be the father of the child about to be born.

It is one of Eloy de la Iglesia´s best box-office hits, partly due to the two starring actors, who were then actually married in real life.
