Casa África, the Canarian Government and the Cervantes Institute organise this first gathering - Encuentro de Hispanistas África – España with the aim of drawing attention, on the one hand, to the interest that is growing, yet fairly unknown in the African continent for the Spanish language; and on the other, the important work carried out by the African hispanists in this field, as well as reinforcing the networking of Hispanic & Hispanists/Africans and their academic projection
