The aim of the “Theoretical keys to the understanding of contemporary art” cycle is to spread to the interested public the work of thinkers and theorists who have structured the analysis concerning current artistic expressions. 

For this purpose, the guest speakers will use texts and publications selected from the bibliographic background of the Biblioteca y Centro de Documentación (BDC) of the CAAM, which puts together the subjects of theory, philosophy and the sociology of art, with the objective of bringing together researchers, professors, students and people that are concerned in learning more about the selected authors and the knowledge that their works contain; that is to say, to all who are interested in art as a field of knowledge.
