On the occasion of the 30 anniversary of the Children´s Rights Convention, which was celebrated last November, UNICEF Mauritania want people to notice and listen to the voices of children of different ages, backgrounds & ethnicities. By means of their stories, different life experiences were related by the boys & girls who participated in this project, thus allowing us to be aware of their realities. They talked about violence and difficulties, but also about their desire for justice and hope.
Araia Tamayo’s photographic and narrative project for UNICEF Mauritania stems from that approach and can be visited free of charge where they are on display in Casa África, from Monday to Friday, between 09:00 – 18:00 hours.
