The best film from Hollywood by one of Sweden’s cinema classic directors was the adaptation of a dark novel by Dorothy Scarborough.
Synopsis:
Letty, a naive young woman from Virginia, moves from the east to the Texas prairies, where the wind never seems to stop blowing and the sand gets everwhere. She lives there with a related married couple, but as she doesn’t feel loved, she has to leave and fend for herself.
