The book ‘La fotografía en Gran Canaria: 1840-1940’  by Gabriel Betancor Quintana goes through the work done by the precursors of photography on the island. By virtue of some 160 pages and a selection of more than 120 photographs, many of them unpublished, artistic, historic, evidential & communicative values pertinent to photography during a key period in the history of Gran Canaria, are described.
