The activity ‘Clásicos contemporáneos’ (Contemporary Classics) is a programme of talks organised by ‘CAAM’, through its ‘Biblioteca y Centro de Documentación’ (‘BCD’)(Library & Documentation Centre), that aims to inform the public about the keys to life and the work of celebrated artists who have evolved their labour during the contemporary period, by means of publications that form part of the library collection at the ‘BCD’

Under the title “La música en las primeras vanguardias artísticas del siglo XX”, Isabel Saavedra Robaina, Doctor for the art department ‘Departamento de Arte, Ciudad y Territorio’ at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC), focusses her attention on the connection between the music of the first avant-gardes of the XXth century and different cultural activities.
