The soprano Carmen Acosta and pianist Juan Francisco Parra present La voz humana. Cocteau, the irascible & lyrical poet, wrote a monologue with the cadence & musicality of the greatest tragedy possible. The music of Poulenc was added to the poet’s lyrics to give life to “La voz humana, based on the homonymous 1930 theatrical play, and changing it into a masterful one-act opera featuring just one character.
