For the months of April & May 2021 ‘Filmoteca Canaria’, in collaboration with the Czech Centre in Madrid, the embassy of the Czech Republic and the Prague City Hall, programmes a cycle of ‘Cine Checo Actual’ (Current Czech Films). The movies that feature in said cycle, made in the last four years, show that behind the label of renegade cinema forged in the ‘60s, there is a cinematography as interesting as it is unknown.

  

“TIGER THEORY” (2016)

Synopsis:  An elderly veterinarian tries to find a decent way out of the marriage in which he has been subjected. The death of his father-in-law, who also always heeded his wife’s decisions, was the last straw. He decided not to go the same way, opted to take back command of his own life and set out to live with his dog in the midst of nature, in spite of the of the discomforts that would bring and the barriers presented by the family.
