The International Cinema & Cuture Interlaced Festival, RIZOMA, has spent ten years discovering talent and offering top-level international cinema together with newer up-and-coming Spanish cinema. ‘Filmoteca Canaria’ summarises these ten years with a cycle that intends to offer a representation of the programme ‘RIZOMA’ over a period of the first decade of the festival.

“Monos”

Synopsis: At the peak of an imposing mountain , where for the first time a summer camp is installed, eight teenage commandos nicknamed “Los Monos" co-exist under the strict disciplinary condition of a paramilitary sergeant. Their sole mission is to take care of ‘the doctor’ (Julianne Nicholson), an American woman who has been taken hostage. When this mission begins to get dangerous, the trust between them will start to be doubted.
