The International Cinema & Cuture Interlaced Festival, RIZOMA, has spent ten years discovering talent and offering top-level international cinema together with newer up-and-coming Spanish cinema. ‘Filmoteca Canaria’ summarises these ten years with a cycle that intends to offer a representation of the programme ‘RIZOMA’ over a period of the first decade of the festival.

“FRANCES HA”

Synopsis: Frances (Greta Gerwig) lives in New York although she doesn’t really have an apartment. She apprentices for a dance company although she's not really a dancer. Frances has a best friend called Sophie, but they’re not speaking anymore. Frances wants so much more than she has, but lives her life with inexplicable joy and lack of concern. Frances Ha is a modern fable about youth, friendship, class, ambition, personal challenges, loyalty and above all, optimism.
