“Fábula del topo, el murciélago y la musaraña” (Fable of the mole, the bat and the shrew), written by Miguel Ángel Martínez, tells us of the upheavals that Pedro Perdomo Pérez, spokesman at the ‘Casa del Pueblo’ of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, together with his family, experienced during the initial moments of the military coup in 1936, making him first a target, then a fugitivse and, finally a mole in the Francoist repression. Following a period of 33 years hiding in ‘La Isleta’ in the house of two of his sisters and protected by an amnesty, he returned to the world of the living at the beginnings of the ‘Transition’.
