Synopsis: 

An ill-kempt middle-aged slob lives in a room of a cheap boarding house on the banks of the old quarter of Lisbon. Plagued by illness & vicissitudes of a diverse order, our anti-hero, who relies on Schubert’s music & films to stave off misery, is thrown out onto the street following

a frustrated attempt to violate the virtue of the landlord’s daughter.
