On one 25th of May what we now know as the African Union, the only association that the 55 states of the continent pertain to, was born. Because of this 25 May is considered as Africa Day and is celebrated as such throughout the world. With reference to this day, ‘Casa África’ organizes a large number of activities since its formation (exhibitions, workshops, gastronomy, fashion, music, sports, conferences,etc.) and always in collaboration with the ‘Federación de Asociaciones de Africanos en Canarias’ (Federation of African Associations in the Canaries)(FAAC)and with the ‘Asociación de Mujeres Africanas en Canarias’ (Association of African Women in the Canaries)(AMAC).
