The programme for the cycle ‘Orillas’ commences on 16 July with a concert featuring Mariela Condo (1983) who since the beginning of the year 2000 has been rekindling with her pieces the roots of Ecuadorian musical tradition & indigenous rhythms from the highlands of southern Ecuador, her native land. Spanish & Quechuan (language indigenous to people living in the Andes) are fused in her lyrics.
