Francis Andreu (1985) is considered a benchmark voice and one of the exponents most followed by the youth of the country. To date Andreu has won the ‘Graffiti Awards’ twice, the most important Uruguayan music prizes, in the ‘Best Tango album’ category. With her peculiar husky voice and serious fight to take the tango to the rawest essences without entering into the debate as to whether the tango is more Argentinian than Uruguayan.
