On the occasion of International World Heritage Day and the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the signing in Paris (1972), of the Convention which laid the basis for developing this declaration, the ‘Instituto Canario de Desarrollo Cultural, S.A.’ (Canarian Institute for Cultural Development), through the ‘Unidad de Patrimonio Cultural’ (Cultural Heritage Unit/Dept.) and with the collaboration of the ‘Cabildo (Island Council) of Gran Canaria’, have organised the projection of the documentary, titled”Axis Mundi. Cumbres Sagradas de Gran Canaria”, by the director from Tenerife Tarek Ode.
