“Testigo de cargo” (Witness for the Prosecution) by Billy Wilder (1957)

Leonard Vole (Tyrone Power), a handsome young man, is accused of murdering Mrs French, a rich old woman with whom he had a friendly relationship. The alleged motive of the crime was the possibility of inheriting the property of the deceased. Although the evidence against him is devastating, Sir Wilfrid Roberts (Charles Laughton), a prestigious London criminal lawyer, takes charge of his defence.
