The 22nd edition of the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria International Film Festival, that is held from 14 to 23 April, will feature a "refined taste, between standard & exceptional", and a stronger presence of comedy and humour to that of other years, as well as a cycle devoted to the filmmaker Terence Davies.
This year the festival offers 118 films, which can be watched in 169 sessions. Thus, the official section contains twenty-two films, between full-lengthfeatures and short length films, and the prizes of both competitive sections will be disputed. On Monday 17 April the screening of the ten full-length feature films will begin, and two days later, Wednesday 19, the short-length films will begin being screened.
