On Tuesday 16 May at 19:00 hours, the Municipal Public Library ‘Dolores Campos-Herrero’ will host the historian and writer from Avilés Pablo Alcántara in an encounter where he will provide details concerning “La Secreta de Franco” (Franco’s Secret) (Espasa 2022), the first work that deals with the history of the ‘Brigada Política Social’ (BPS)(Social-Political Brigade), or the ‘Policía política’ (Political Police), the repressive apparatus of Francoism.

We hope to see you at an event where the young historian will share with the attendees how the research process was, and the difficulties that researchers had to deal with when accessing archives & documentation.
