In “Retorno al hogar” (The Homecoming), Pinter –an irreverent & provocative author if ever there was one- portrays with extreme crudeness the thousand and one contradictions and tensions between a widower who lives with two of his sons, both adults, and a brother.

The arrival of the oldest son, apparently the success of the family, with his wife, unleashes all the winds of a storm brought about by a suffocating and oppressive environment caused by mutual envy and contempt among all members of the family clan.
