Filmoteca Canaria dedicates a cycle to Eloy de la Iglesia (1944 – 2006), director, transgressor & agitator, whose cinema films, combative, exalted & militant, were (and still are) the best testimony of the times in which he lived: the Spanish transition.

SYNOPSIS:

Roberto Obea, clandestine militant of a left-wing party during Franco’s time, is chosen as a parliamentary representative at the 1977 elections. At the most important moment of his political career and when he was on the verge of being appointed General Secretary of his party, a group of far-right extremists prepared a trap taking advantage of his homosexuality, using a young lover as bait. A severely critical review of the intolerance & hypocrisy within the left-wing parties.
