The main aim of Dreyer when it came to delving deep into relating the story of Vampyr is to show in a certain way, that horror appears because of what is produced in the mind of the individual, more so than the events that are taking place around him.

Synopsis:

A young drifter, Allan Gray, takes lodging in a mysterious secluded inn. There, he begins to have creepy visions, the most horrifying of them being the discovery of an unconscious woman who had been attacked by a vampire in the form of a witch.
