“César Manrique, el Musical” is a theatrical production of great proportion featuring the participation of almost a hundred artists (dancers, chorus, actors, singers, musicians….) that addresses the extraordinary vital & artistic venture undertaken by Cesar Manrique (Lanzarote, 1919-1992), visual artist & committed environmentalist. Innovator of the concept ‘ARTE-NATURALEZA-ARTE’, he converted his native island into an example of environmental planning with high social content.

In the centenary of his birth and coinciding with a number of acts in celebration of this ephemeris, the musical delves into the many experiences and different settings in which Manrique developed & evolved his work (Lanzarote, Madrid, New York, etc.). A stage production that – with a strong theatrical script & catchy songs – highlights the importance of the legend in contemporary Canarian culture making it even more approachable, if possible, for his many admirerers.
