In 2021, at the ‘CICCA’ in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria the Cinema Association ‘Vértigo’ dedicates its traditional "mayo canario" to the prominent director & screenwriter from the island of La Palma  Mercedes Afonso, by covering a good portion of her film career.

With free entrance*, the tiles of the films selected and the corresponding dates for projection at 18:30 hours, are:

• “El amor se mueve”, by Mercedes Afonso, 2008. (Monday 3 May)
• “Madres bajo la piel”, by Mercedes Afonso, 2012. (Monday 10 May)
• Selection of short films 1 by Mercedes Afonso: “La tierra desde la luna”(2001), “Campanas” (2010) y “Iyena” (2015). (Monday 17 May)
• Selection of short films 2 by Mercedes Afonso “Esperanza” (2012), “Tanat”(2019), 

“La vida en las manos” (2012), “Autobiografía” (2014) & El mapa para tocarte (Teaser). (Monday 24 May)

* Free entrance. Essential to obtain it previously:

1.- On-line: at any time, accessing the platform Tomaticket (cost 0'80 € per operation), on website: www.tomaticket.es/cicca

2.- Monday to Friday at the box-office, from 9 to 13:30 and 17:30 to 21 hours. It is not permitted to collect invitations on the evening of the projection of the film, nor is entrance allowed to those who have not obtained this at a prior time.
