Diario de un loco (Diary of a Madman), by Nikolai Gógol is a narrative that in the form of a ledger tells of the descent into the hell of madness of a civil servant who ends up believing he is the King of Spain. Adapted for theatre by Miguel Ángel Martínez and interpreted by Fernando Navas, it is the new stage production by the company ‘Profetas de Mueble Bar’.
The text exudes a humour, very characteristic of Gógol, that goes from farce and satire to freezing your very heart. Miguel Ángel Martínez amplifies it and endows it with mythical references and theatrical goals.
