''Memorias en movimiento. Arte contemporáneo de Mauritania'' is the first exhibition dedicated entirely to Mauritanian contemporary art outside its boundaries and features works by Mamadou Anne, Oumar Ball, Zeinab Chiaa, Daouda Corera, Malika Diagana, Béchir Malum, Saleh Lo, El Moctar Sidi Mohamed “Mokhis”, Amy Sow, Mohamed Sidi & Moussa Abdallah Sissako.

This exhibition, commissioned by Aïcha Janeiro, explores memories- personal, collective & cultural –they are expressed in various processes of creation in the contemporary artistic meovement in Mauritania. 

Inauguration

On 7 October there will be a round table, at 19:00 hours, in which four artists who form part of the exhibition will participate: Mamadou Anne, El Moctar Sidi Mohamed “Mokhis”, Mohamed Sidi & Moussa Abdallah Sissako, also the commissioner, Aïcha Janeiro. 

Following that, at 20.00 hours there will be the inauguration of the exhibition & guided tour by the commissioner & above mentioned artists.
