Active for almost a hundred years, the Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino premieres this year at the Canary Islands Music Festival. And it does so under the baton of German conductor Ingo Metzmacher, and featuring the most important baritone in the USA, Thomas Hampson, as soloist. It will undoubtedly be one of the greatest symphony concerts of this edition, where you can listen to a great work of which Hampson is its main endorser: Mahler’s 'Rückert Lieder'.
